While living in South Central in a house full of artists, I walked the neighborhoods to photograph the historic streets.
Downtown LA, where you will see the biggest disparities between rich and poor in the same 5 foot radius.
Art deco, street performers, historic murals,Hollywood...
These photographs were taken at Mid-City, Los Angeles's Cafe Fais Do-Do. The Cafe's building is a former bank that was built in an Art Deco style in 1930. It has hosted influential rappers as well as jazz and blues musicians.
