My name is Eric Pearse Chavez. I am a freelance photographer, independent journalist, researcher, and radio producer. My photography work consists of mostly black and white urban realism as well as an array of influences.I operate and own Nico Tolza Photography, which you will find on this website (under Photography).
I am extremely passionate about photography, radio, news and story telling. Radio is such a creative and informative outlet where I have really enjoyed preparing and making storytelling interesting for the listener. Along with my photography collection, I have also produced audio documentaries with NPR's All Things Considered, PRI's The World,Radio Ambulante, and KCRW.
In the last year, I focused on producing independent audio portraits and videos for Amnesty International Los Angeles. The videos are a part of Amnesty's Canvassing Experience Project where I interviewed and put together activists' stories onto audio and video.
